Sushant Singh Rajput & Bhumi Pednekar will be Dacoits in the upcoming film!

There is much happening in the careers of Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar and both are packed with their in-hand projects. And now as per the early updates, both actors will be coming together in the upcoming film, which will be based on dacoits from the valleys of Chambal, playing the characters of Chambal Dacoits and also as the love interest to each other. This action thriller directed by Abhishek Chaubey, who has previously directed Ishqiya and Udta Punjab. Sushant was very excited for playing a gray shaded character and hence said yet to this project. But it would be interesting to see Bhumi in such daring character!

For decades, dacoits in the Bollywood movies like Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Mother India and Sholay have portrayed them as ruthless and barbaric in the film. But when the writer of this film Sudip Sharma found out, despite horrendous charges on such Dacoits they have been painted unreasonably in Indian cinema. So it would be interesting to see what rendition of the infamous but adventurous life of Dacoits of Chambal.

As for other updates, the crew is now busy in location scouting in Chambal and the shooting will start by the year end or be completing it before March 2018. The yet-to-be titled film will be produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Sushant Singh Rajput is currently busy in training in NASA for his role in Chanda Mama Door Ke, while Bhumi Pednekar is busy on the promotional tour with Akshay Kumar for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha!
