If the latest reports are to be believed, action star Sunny Deol has replaced Ajay Devgn in the upcoming instalment of popular Hindi film franchise, Singham. Deol, who has last seen in Ghayal Once Again, will play the lead role in the next part, but this time around the film will be titled as S3, instead of Singham 3. The movie, reportedly, revolves around a mysterious death of a policeman and how the lead character solves the mystery.

According to reports, before signing the project on the dotted lines, Sunny called up Ajay Devgn and sought his permission to go ahead. He also informed the actor that the film will be called S3. This gesture of Sunny is really praiseworthy. Talking about the heroine of the movie, there is no confirmation on the female lead yet.

The first two instalments of the Singham series had Ajay Devgn as an honest and brave cop. Filmmaker Rohit Shetty had donned the directorial hat for both the films, but its newest instalment will be helmed by a different director. According to reports, the action drama will be directed by debutant K Ravi Chandran.
