Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh , who's known for his 2012 thriller ' Kahaani ' starring Vidya Balan , is very keen to have Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan in its sequel 'Kahaani 2'. He has worked with Amitabh Bachchan in ' Aladin ' earlier. Amitabh had made his contribution to the first part by lending his voice for the song 'Ekla chalo re'.

Ghosh said that he will commence the shooting as soon as he is done with the script. He said that since he is still scripting the film, he cant say when he will commence the shooting, but the film will begin where it was left in the first part.

He also said that the will be making Vidya do some action sequences in the film. He further added that proving himself again would indeed be challenging, but he isn't considering all that and he still hopes for the best.

The first part was made with a small budget of Rs 8 crore, however, the film succeeded by leaps gaining Rs 80 crore at the box office.
