Finally, Shah Rukh Khan 's Raees and Salman Khan starrer Sultan's clash has been averted at the box office as according to the report, Raees will be releasing on January 26, 2017. This day will see the release of other Bollywood films like Ajay Devgn's Baadshaho and Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaabil. So, Raees will now lock horns with Kaabil and Baadshaho.

Talking about postponing the release date of Raees , the makers stated "It was not an easy decision to move the film. We understand that this film is highly anticipated. However, a movie of such magnitude requires the appropriate showcasing and therefore, we have decided to shift our release date to 26th January, 2017."

September 9 was being considered as the release date for Raees but the makers did not finalise this date as the films Dishoom and Baar Baar Dekho are arriving at the same time.

Shah Rukh Khan plays a gangster who runs the illicit liquor business in Gujarat. The movie also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan.
