    Sridevi was about to play this character in Baahubali saga!

    Here’s the reason why Sridevi was replaced by Ramya Krishnan to play powerful queen Sivagami in Baahubali series.

    Yes, you read it right. S.S.Rajamouli and his team wanted Sridevi to play the powerful Sivagami in Baahubali saga. She had even liked the script, but then the role was passed on to Ramya Krishnan .

    Sridevi was about to play this character in Baahubali saga!

    As per the sources, Sridevi was the first choice to play Sivagami. This happened very early in the project when her husband Boney Kapoor quoted staggering fees. Plus, he also wanted the share of profits that Baahubali made. Therefore, the makers had to drop Sridevi from this project and get Ramya on board.

    Ramya Krishnan has done full justice to the role. She proved that no one other than her can play Sivagami that well. While, Sridevi now has a thriller film MOM, releasing on July 7.

    Baahubali is the drama revolving around the mighty kingdom of Mahismati and the hidden secret that prevailed for years. It stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj in lead.
