Young and beautiful Sonam Kapoor was recently seen taking blessings from the legendary actress Rekha at one event. Speaking about it, Sonam said that she is currently working on a remake of 1980 cult classic ' Khubsoorat ' starring Rekha , Rakesh Roshan , Deena Pathak and Ashok Kumar . Sonam is playing the role played by Rekha in the former. So the actress sought the blessings of the senior actress Rekha before commencing the shooting for the film. The two actresses attended the premiere show of the film 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' and at that event, Rekha blessed Sonam with her good wishes.

Sonam also said that they are just taking the spirit of Rekha 's character in their film. They are modernizing the film and the characters. The storyline will also be somewhat different. The original was made by maverick Hrishikesh Mukherjee and the remake is made by Sonam's father actor Anil Kapoor and is directed by Shashanka Ghosh .
