Casting and re-casting are a part of the game during the initial stages of the film! And after many rounds of musical chairs for the casting, Sonakshi Sinha has been finalized as a leading lady in Choreographer Bosco Martis ’ directorial debut musical Circus. Sonakshi will be portraying a role of a trapeze artist in the film and Sooraj Pancholi will be paired opposite her. Interestingly, Suniel Shetty will also be in this film essaying a role of Sonakshi’ father and potentially he might be the Circus master in the film.

The film was announced almost a year and a half ago, and hunts for the leading lady was still on till this date. First Kangana Ranaut with dates problems and then next Parineeti Chopra, both were considered for the role, but eventually, both actresses sidelined the project and the quest to find a leading lady kept going on. So now as Sonakshi Sinha is on board to play the role of Trapeze artist, it would be interesting to see how the actress pulls off the difficult part and portrays the character.

Both, Sooraj Pancholi and Sonakshi Sinha will be training with gymnasts and acrobats to work on their stance and balance as there will be an action and dance sequences with the inclusion of fire and water acts in the film. Director stated, “It's an ambitious, intense story with a larger-than-life set-up. I'm looking forward to filming with Sonakshi.”
