Smriti Irani assures safe & hassle free release of Padmavati in all states!

The shooting schedule of Padmavati has been through a lot, from onset protest by Rajput Karni Sena to sets turned into debris! Now that the character posters of the lead cast have generated enough hype for the film and its content, soon the team will be out for promotional tour for the film. But the suspense remains the same, whether Padmavati will release in the Indian theaters without any ruckus!

Apparently, Smriti Irani, the Information, and Broadcasting minister said that the film will face no trouble during its release and also added, "I am sure law and order will be under control. The State government will ensure no miscreants disrupt and any kind of interaction or display. I don’t envisage any problem. If there is any challenge, the State government will meet.” when asked her views on why such kind of friction even exists in first place, so she said, “Miscreants without cover create such controversies and if the filmmaker communicates it properly then it is taken care of!

The question was answered while replying to Karan Johar's comment about 'political pressure' on the film, at an event. And while answering she assured that the state government will ensure the law and order and will not allow any miscreants to disrupt any kind of interaction or display, at any cost! Such question was bound to be asked because Rajput Karni Sena still continues with their tirade against the film and has even declared that they will boycott the release of the film. About the film Padmavati, it is a story based on the queen of Chittor, Rani Padmavati, her husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and Alauddin Khilji, played by Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh respectively! The film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it is slated to be released on 1st Dec!
