Actor Sidharth Malhotra first time played the role of an army agent in Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary and left everyone spellbound. The 33-year-old actor will again don the role of an Army officer in Captain Vikram Batra’s biopic, where he will play a double role (Batra, the Kargil martyr and his twin brother, Vishal). While the movie will be lesser a commercial film and focus more on the late captain’s valor, Sidharth hopes that whenever the film comes out the family should be happy and proud.
Speaking about why the movie is taking more time to get started, Sidharth told a news agency, “Movies have a great impact, they live for long. There is a pressure of living up to the idea of what their son has done. That is why we are taking more time to start the film. We want to work properly on the story. It is not a fictitious story that I want to jump into it. I hope whenever the film comes out the family is happy and proud.”
Sidharth MalhotraIn his short career, this film is going to be his first biopic for which he is equally nervous and excited. “This is my first biopic and I am super excited about it. He has a brother but the film is predominately about Captain Vikram. We are planning how to cleverly deal with it (double roles). He impacted so many people in the Army. I won’t say he is a personality that everybody knows but I felt it was a story that needed to be told. I found his story fascinating,” Sid stressed.
The movie is about to go on floors but the actor has started prepping up for the role. He went to border areas and met BSF Jawans to see their lifestyle, discipline and how they train.
