Model turned actor, Sidharth Malhotra , started his career in Bollywood with Karan Johar ’s Student Of The Year (2012), where he played the role of a student of a prestigious institute. The movie was super hit and cemented Sidharth’s position in B-town. Now, after 6 long years, the actor has been again approached to play a student but this time it’s a Hindi remake of a Kannada super hit film, Kirik Party.

A source close to the actor told a leading daily, ‘’Sidharth has had meetings with producer Ajay Kapoor , who holds the remake rights of Kirik Party, and loved his part. He is yet to sign on the dotted line but is looking forward to start work on this one.”

The original movie became a raging hit and is counted among one of the most successful films from the Kannada cinema. Now the movie is also being remade in Tamil and anytime soon it can be made in Hindi as well.

Kirik Party (2016) was a romantic-comedy film directed by Rishabh Shetty and featured Rakshit Shetty and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. It revolved around a gang of mischievous first-year engineering students, led by the protagonist Karna (played by Rakshit), who are from different streams but develop a bond during their stay in the college hostel.

Apart from this, Sidharth is all set with his upcoming film, Aiyaary , which will hit the theatres this Friday.
