Sidharth Malhotra , who started his Bollywood career as an assistant director on ' My Name is Khan ' is making his acting debut with Karan Johar 's directorial venture ' Student Of The Year ' (SOTY). And even before the release of his first film, it seems as if he has been noticed by the biggies of the film industry and has managed to impress them as well!

Rumours are rife that the actor has been signed up by Ekta Kapoor for a two-film deal with her production house Balaji Motion Pictures Ltd . She was quite impressed by the screen presence and the acting skill shown by S Sidharth Malhotra in SOTY that she immediately approached her good friend Karan Johar and asked him for his opinion about the actor. And when Karan too appreciated him, she made up her mind to enter into a two film deal with the young actor.

Sidharth Malhotra is already in a contract with Karan Johar 's Dharma Productions . But since it is a non-exclusive contract, the actor is free to work with other production houses too!
