Finally, good news has arrived after the new censor board members took over the CBFC, now headed by Prasoon Joshi. The makers of the upcoming film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has been passed by the censor board and has been given UA certification to everyone’s surprise. Since, the film has a sexual theme, the makers expected an A certificate but this news has delighted one and all.

The new censor board team seems to be quite liberal and open about things. This new criterion of judging films for certification will definitely benefit filmmakers and give them the confidence to make movies on diverse subjects without second thoughts. The film team is glad about the CBFC verdict.

In a media statement, Ayushman said, “I am so glad we got this all-clear from the censor board. Just shows that the CBFC is progressive and supports the content of our film which deals with performance-anxiety in males. When audiences see Shubh Mangal Saavdhan they’ll realize it’s a very important film.”

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is directed by R S Prasanna, the film is set to release on 1 September, 2017. It is presented by Eros International and Colour Yellow Productions Pvt.
