Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar are the center of the eye for quite a long time now. Soon after the official announcement and the poster launch of their film ‘Dhadak’, fans were eagerly waiting for the commencement of the film. Finally, the wait is over. ‘Dhadak’, which was supposed to go on floors from mid-December, has taken its roots from today itself. The news is confirmed by Karan Johar’s home production on Instagram. Dharma Productions posted a picture on the social media site, captioning, “And so it begins!? #Dhadak @karanjohar @shashankkhaitan @ishaan95 @janhvikapoor”

The movie is directed by Shashank Khaitan, who previously helmed ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’. It is an official remake of the Marathi movie, ‘Sairat’, but ‘Dhadak’ is set on the premise of North India. Though the basic plot of the movie is same as ‘Sairat’, director Shashank confirmed that this movie has its own issues to deal with.
As we know, Ishaan Khattar has already done Majid Majidi’s film, ‘Beyond The Clouds’, ‘Dhadak’ will mark the debut of Janhvi Kapoor. The film will hit the screens on 6th July 2018.
