Director Shoojit Sircar, who is currently working on \'Madras Cafe\', was operated for appendicitis. It was an emergency surgery which came after the director complained of constant pain in the abdomen.
Shoojit, who had been suffering the pain for several weeks, went for an emergency surgery on the advise of a doctor to whom he consulted. Now he has been asked for a complete rest by the actor.
