After leaving an unforgettable impression on viewers' mind with never-seen-before acting, 1975 classic ' Sholay ' is geared up to return on the celluloid in its new avatar. The movie featured Amitabh Bachchan , Dharmendra , Sanjeev Kumar and Hema Malini in key roles and it was directed by Ramesh Sippy .

Now, the film will once again set the big screen on fire with its 3D look. Reportedly, the film was scheduled to release on Amitabh Bachchan 's 71st birthday, but there is a change now in its release date. Going by the latest news update, 'Sholay 3D' will now release on 3rd January, 2014. The producer Jayantilal Gada stated that the director Sippy appealed in Mumbai high court asking for stay on the release of the film, however his plea was dismissed by the court on November 22. Arguing about the case was also not possible. So, without any hassle, now the film is all set to release on January 3, 2014.

As per the buzz, the filmmakers were busy with this 3D project for around three years.
