Lyricist Javed Akhtar has worked in the Bollywood industry for decades and has made many impactful contributions with his power of words. Throughout his career he has developed some very genuine friendships and acquaintances and hence his 70th birthday bash was with all well wishers. On this special occasion Shankar Mahadevan surprised Javed Akhtar by gifting a Piano. The lyricist got extremely emotional with this sweet gesture and broke down.

The celebration took place in Lonavala at their farmhouse 'Sukoon' and the sources revealed that the party was organised by his wife Shabana Azmi . Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar were also present on the very special day of their father and were seen welcoming the guests. The party was a private affair and was attended by all the close friends, relatives and admirers of the family.

The celebration was indeed an unforgettable one but it turned extra special when the Singer- Composer gifted him a Piano. Javed Akhtar already had kept a place for a piano at his bungalow and now he received one as a delightful gift!
