After the announcement of the prestigious National Awards, now the Dadasaheb Phalke Foundation will honour few Indian actors with Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Awards. The Excellence Awards are different from the usual Dadasaheb Phalke Awards. Actors Shahid Kapoor , Ranveer Singh, Rajkummar Rao , Rani Mukerji , Anushka Sharma , Kriti Sanon , Aditi Rao Hydari and Tamannaah Bhatia have been chosen to be conferred on 21st April in Mumbai.

While Shahid and Ranveer will get awarded for their impeccable performances in Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s Padmaavat , Rajkummar will be conferred for his breakthrough role in Amit Masurkar ’s Newton . On the other hand, actresses Rani, Kriti, Aditi Rao and Tamannaah will be honoured for their roles in Hichki , Bareilly Ki Barfi , Bhoomi and Baahubali: The Conclusion respectively.

Amongst other actors, Anushka is the only one who will receive the prestigious award for producing the out-of-the-box movie, Pari .
