Shahid will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period-drama Padmavati . The actor essays the role of Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar in this flick. He will sport a thick beard and moustache for this role.

    After Udta Punjab, Shahid continues to look hot and is all set to play the rightful husband of Deepika Padukone, who plays the Queen Padmavati in this outing. Ranveer Singh portrays a negative role in this and he will be seen as Alauddin Khilji. The film went on floors in Mumbai with Deepika's Rajasthani style dance form ghoomar.
