The filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt will soon work with his actress daughter Alia Bhatt if things sail well. They are going to work together for upcoming remake of super hit ' Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin ' that featured Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt . Pooja essayed the role of a runaway bride who hitchhikes with stranger Aamir.

Alia will play Pooja's character from the original flick and Shahid Kapoor will portray Raghu Jaitley, the character played by Aamir.

Mahesh Bhatt stated "'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin' is a goldmine which we will certainly revisit soon," This remake will be penned by Mahesh Bhatt but he will not be directing it. A source said "Alia is very keen to be directed by Bhatt saab just once. She feels that the remake of 'Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin' is the best occasion for it. But Bhatt saab is adamant too. He will get someone else to direct the film but will write it himself,"
