We recently reported a story that Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan has bowed out of the much-talked-about biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma, tentatively titled Salute and that Shah Rukh Khan might come onboard to replace the actor. The latest buzz has it that King Khan has already signed the project on the dotted lines. Reportedly, it was Mr. Perfectionist who recommended Shah Rukh Khan ’s name to producer Siddharth Roy Kapur .

A source says, “Aamir strongly recommended the Rakesh Sharma biopic to Shah Rukh as a script worth walking that extra mile for. More so, since Aamir intends to devote a substantial period of his time to a very dear project of his, presumably the Mahabharat, and has stopped accepting any other assignments currently.”

Talking about the female lead of the film, Priyanka Chopra ’s name was doing the rounds recently. However, keeping Chopra and Khan’s past, it remains to be seen if they work together again keeping their differences at bay.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh is currently busy with his upcoming film with Aanand L Rai .
