    Shabana Azmi joins Manto team

    Shabana Azmi will be playing famous musician-singer Jaddan bhi in Nandita Das's Manto.

    Nandita Das is backing her dream venture Manto with a powerful team. After hiring Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead role, she has now added the National Award winning actress Shabana Azmi to the star cast.

    Shabana Azmi joins Manto team

    Shabana will be playing the role of musician-singer Jaddan bai, who was also the mother of yesteryear actress Nargis. As per the sources, Shabana will be singing in the film for real. Earlier she has attempted singing in a Bengali film, Sonata.

    Talking about her other projects, Shabana will be seen in an American film - Signature Move, as an obsessed mother with her daughter’s marriage.
