Shab release date shifted to 14th July; to clash with Jagga Jasoos!

The release of filmmaker Onir’s upcoming film Shab has been delayed. Earlier scheduled to release on 30th July, the Raveena Tandon starrer will now hit screens on 14th July. With a shift in its release date, the film will now lock horns with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif's musical adventure romantic comedy Jagga Jasoos. Yes, the Anurag Basu directed film Jagga Jasoos is also arriving in cinemas on the same date.

It will be interesting to see that how Shab survives in front of a much bigger film like Jagga Jasoos. Having said that, both films are starkly different from each other in terms of content and target different audience groups. If their content is good, both can find their audience. A lot also depends on word of mouth publicity.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Onir, Shab also features Arpita Chatterjee and Ashish Bisht in pivotal roles. The music of the film has been scored by Mithoon who has previously worked with the director on Bas Ek Pal. The film is produced by Onir and his long-time associate and friend actor Sanjay Suri.
