The super hit romantic flick ' Deewana ' (1992) was the film through which a charming artist called Shah Rukh Khan debuted in Bollywood. King Khan was featured with late beauty Divya Bharti in this film. And now, the tinsel town is all set for the sequel of ' Deewana '.

B-Town filmmaker Guddu Dhanoa will soon be launching the sequel of the film, taking the movie one step ahead. Directed by Raj Kanwar , the predecessor of 1992 starred Shah Rukh Khan , Divya Bharti and Rishi Kapoor in lead roles.

Dhanoa made it clear by saying that though they are making a sequel, the film will have an entirely new story and something more would be added to the existing title. The filmmaker also revealed that just like the Bhatts developed sequels of their films like ' Jannat ' and ' Murder ', he is likely to follow their footsteps in terms of creating remakes.

The script of the film is ready and they are working on casting suitable stars right now, informed by Dhanoa. The filmmaker did not disclose any names that are likely to star in the sequel.
