It is one moment of pride for B-town as the feature film A Billion Colour Story, produced by Satish Kaushik , won the top honours at the eighth Bagri Foundation’ London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) in Birmingham. A Billion Colour Story is a film based around Hindu-Muslim religious conflict and a plea to maintain harmony and peace which was beautifully directed by Padmakumar Narasimhamurthy, who had earlier directed a documentary film, Saeed Mirza: The Leftist Sufi!

Even Bollywood wasn’t far behind to congratulate Satish Kaushik on this achievements and his long time friends and one of the finest actors of our country, Anupam Kher wished him and many other movie buffs joined in. Although, the film features a fresh cast of Swapnil Ralkar, Rashmi Somvanshi, Gaurav Sharma, Vasuki, Dhruva Padmakumar and Vauka Sunkavalli yet it carried forward a strong narration written by Padmakumar Narasimhamurthy himself. It is not the first time that this film won such an international recognition as it previously won awards at IFFLA, Palm Springs, FOTC in France too.

Recently, Satish Kaushik was in the news for a good reason, Satish flew back from Delhi to Mumbai to attend and complete a dubbing session for Seema Kapoor's feature film “Mr Kabaadi”, a voice-over to be done by late Om Puri , before his untimely death. But Satish Kaushik stepped-in to complete the task as honour and privilege!
