After the failure of his last few films, award-winning filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is all set to begin his next project very soon. The director is known for making larger-than-life historical films, and if a report published in one of the leading dailies is to be believed, Gowariker will once again helm a historical film to be made on a lavish scale. Reportedly, the director has already signed Arjun Kapoor to play the main lead, while talks are on to sign Sanjay Dutt for an important role.

The report further says that the film will be inspired by a historical battle. The makers are not keen to divulge any information at this point. However, it is being said that the battle the film revolves around was one of the most fiercely fought ones between the 16th and 18th centuries and it repeated itself in history three-times over.

Ashutosh Gowariker is known for making brilliant films like Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar . We are sure that he will do full justice to his next venture as well. The director is currently working on the script of the film.
