The Marathi film industry had already proved its best to the Bollywood, veteran Marathi actors like Nilu Phule , Shri Ram Lagu , Ashok Saraf , Laxmikant Berde , Mahesh Manjrekar have already showcased their metal in the Hindi film industry. You may have seen this veterans essay comic roles, method roles as well as villains but they never got a chance to prove their best in the lead.

However, the stars of the Marathi film fraternity started sparkling its shine in real sense from the year 2007 with super hits like 'De Dhakka', 'Harishchandrachi Factory', 'Sanai Choughade', 'Me Shivajiraje Bhosle Boltoy', 'Natarang'. This flicks not only glued up the audience but also amused its presence worldwide.

Earlier this year the regional industry took a bold step with an adult social-comedy 'B.P- Balak Palak' which was produced by the only Marathi leading star of Bollywood, Riteish Deshmukh himself. The film went viral among youngsters as well as their parents. It not just created a buzz through its bold storyline but spread a social message as well which was needed by this generation.

Whereas Riteish has enjoyed the prosperity as a producer, he is now all set to prosper himself as an actor in a regional flick. ' Force ' flick director Nishikant Kamat is geared up with his next Marathi venture 'Lai Bhari' along with Deshmukh in lead. And this is not all that is exceptional about this flick. However what's really creating a buzz for it is none other than the hit machine , Dabangg of Bollywood, Salman Khan . Reportedly Nishikant has confirmed the news of Salman to be acting in his upcoming besides Riteish. On the other hand he also stated that the role would not be a full fledged one, rather it would be a special appearance. Well though Salman has commenced the shooting and is through with the three days schedule of picturization.

What so ever the role be, the audiences are much eager to see their muscle man in a traditional Maharashtrian look speaking up the province speech. Nevertheless, Salman will be raring as well to build up his regional fan base after looking upon the ongoing success shower on recent Marathi release 'Duniyadaari'.
