B-town is aware of superstar Salman Khan 's philanthropic activities and his helping nature. The actor is often in news for lending a helping hand to the needy. In fact Salman has aided maximum number of youngsters to make their big screen debut. Salman is termed as the bhai of Bollywood and, once again the actor has shown his soft side. According to a leading daily, Salman is supporting bodybuilding champion Karuna Waghmare to get sponsors so as to compete on international platforms.

Karuna Waghmare is the first Indian woman to win the pro medal of Olympia at the 49th Asian Bodybuilding Fitness and Physique Championship this year. The lady had been facing trouble with the sponsors and hence, approached Salman for help. Karuna's husband trains Salman's brother in law Aayush Sharma and hence, requested a meeting with him. Karuna earlier used to go door to door to generate funds. But, with the actor's support she feels positive. Waghmare stated that Salman was very nice to them and immediately called someone in regards to sponsorship. He even invited her for the bodybuilding competition that he is organising for the differently-abled next year.
