After winning a lot of praises for playing Lord Sun in Swastik Productions’ mythological show, Karmaphal Daata Shani, actor Salil Ankola has now joined hands with eminent filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar to play an important role in his comeback directorial. The actor will be seen in the role of an antagonist in the untitled film which stars Vidyut Jammwal and Shruti Haasan in lead roles.

“My character talks less and is a ruthless killer. The film is high on action and he has to look tougher in a non-villainous way as well as fitter to look convincing in the climax,” the actor said while talking about his character in the movie.

It was his old friend Mahesh who was keen to have him onboard for the role. “He has known me for a long time and is aware of my fitness levels. I will be seen in a never seen before avatar so I am pretty excited,” the actor added.

The film went on floors recently.
