    Riteish Deshmukh to essay Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in next

    Riteish Deshmukh will play the iconic character Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his upcoming Marathi venture 'Chhatrapati Shivaji'.

    'Lai Bhaari' was his debut film in Marathi. The movie garnered huge success and earned laurels from the audience. And now, Riteish Deshmukh will be arriving with his next Marathi venture. Riteish Deshmukh will reportedly play the iconic character of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in his forthcoming Marathi film 'Chhatrapati Shivaji'.

    Riteish's wife Genelia D'Souza will be producing this movie in association with Mumbai Film Company. The news update was confirmed by Genelia, as she tweeted "#ChhatrapatiShivaji is not just a film but a responsibility, we @mfc r excited 2 make a movie on this #GreatMaratha" [sic]
