Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh who is seen performing diverse roles in movies is also very keen when it comes to making Marathi cinema. He produced several Marathi films like Balak-Palak', 'Yellow', 'Lai Bhaari' and the latest one being 'Faster Fene'. He has seen success with all the films and his movie Lai Bhaari in which he also starred as the lead, was a super hit! Now, the actor will be seen in a prestigious role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in director Ravi Jadhav's upcoming biopic film.

In a media statement, Riteish spoke about the forthcoming film and said, "We have just finished our first draft and after a few revisions we will get into prep. The film will roll next year. At the moment it is a Marathi film but by the time we go on the floors, it may become a Hindi-Marathi bilingual. We will take a call on that later."

The actor turned producer further said, "I'm glad that the first few films we have produced have been in different genres and were appreciated by the audience. When you work with low budgets, one has no option but to work on content and within the space offered, scale up your product."
