Actress Richa Chadda who is seen performing exceptional roles in all her film has tried her hand at something completely out of the box and even out of her comfort zone it seems. Yes, the lady performed at the open mic event in Mumbai as a stand-up comedian along with a few others who encouraged her to do so. It was fun and also a scary experience for Richa, as she shared it in a media statement. Not many stars in Bollywood have tried this and very few may attempt to, as making a live audience laugh is not everyone’s cup of tea. But Richa seems to have nailed it.
Richa ChaddaIn a media statement, Richa said, "I am judging a comedy talent hunt and I wanted to see how it feels for the contestants to perform on stage."
"Making people laugh is a great way to live. I just wanted to see what an open mic event is like. My friend Kaneez Surka got me a slot; I performed impromptu and enjoyed it. I have a lot of respect for people who do this. I was nervous, but the comics encouraged me to go ahead. I was scared I'd forget my lines, so I wrote stuff on my hands. It was my little cheat sheet," the actress added.
Richa Chadda will be next seen in Jia Aur Jia with actress Kalki Koechlin. The film has been scheduled to release on 27 October 2017.
