The latest report revealed that Ranveer Singh will be honoured with 'Lokmat Maharashtrian Of The Year' Award by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at a ceremony.

His effervescence and passion to entertain the audience made him won this award. He debuted in Bollywood with the film Band Baaja Baaraat in 2010 opposite Anushka Sharma. This award is presented to those who have risen above the rest, put Brand Maharashtra on the Indian and global radar and who have impacted the state positively.

The cinematic gems like Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar had been honoured with this prestigious award in the past and now, Ranveer Singh has earned it. The awardee of this year was selected by the jury members that include Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Former Union Minister Praful Patel, the noted lawyer Ujjwal Nikam, the social activist Medha Patkar, the veteran journalist Ayaz Memon, businessman Harsh Goenka, the eminent filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and others.
