Looks like the controversies around ‘Padmavati’ haven’t affected the energetic Ranveer Singh at all. Soon after completing the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, Ranveer started prepping up Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film, ‘Gully Boy’. The 32-year-old actor will be seen as a street rapper in the film for which he has started taking lessons from the real underground rappers of Mumbai city. Ranveer doesn’t want to fake his character, so he has sunk himself in the actual rapping. Reportedly, he will be portraying the role of rapper Divine and to perfect his character, he just rapped one his very famous song, ‘Mere Gully Mein’ in his own kickass way. Have a look.

Talking about Ranveer’s ‘Gully Boy’, a source earlier revealed to a leading daily, “He has already committed dates to Zoya for the film, and hence can’t let everything wait. He has already been told to not do media interviews for Padmavati before the release. And after the indefinite postponement of the movie, he cannot let other films, including Gully Boy; suffer because he’s a thorough professional.” Well, he surely is a professional; his rapping style doesn’t seem to be less than that of an actual rapper. Slated to hit the big screen in the second half of 2018, this Zoya Akhtar’s film also features Alia Bhatt.
