    Rani Mukherjee to be honoured with National Award for protection of girl child and women

    The talented actress Rani Mukherjee is to be awarded the National Award for women and girl child protection.

    Rani Mukherjee recently impressed all as a brave cop in her last release ' Mardaani '. The actress gave a great performance in the film by showing her impeccable acting skills. Her efforts for this film will gain a praise now in the form of a special award. Rani Mukherjee will be honoured with the National Award for highlighting the topic of safety and security of girl child and women in the society in the flick ' Mardaani '. The actress has reportedly went to Delhi to receive the award.

    Rani has been picked up by a panel of experts and jurists for this award for the 'Best Representation of the Cause of Safety, Security and Protection of Women and Girl Child'. The event was organized At India Habitat Center by Institute for Gender Justice as the celebration of International Women's Day occasion.
