As we all know that the splendid festival of India, Diwali is more than a month away. Much before that, an Indian group situated in New York celebrated it well in advance. According to sources, the initiative of celebrating Diwali at the much hyped commercial intersection of US,"Times Square" was undertaken by the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation.

Tons of American-Indians gathered at the "Times Square" lane recently and celebrated the extravaganza 'Diwali at Time Square'. Huge number of people dressed in Indian attire presented the folk of Maharashtra along with its cuisine and culture. The superlative initiative also seek backing from home, Bollywood, as the actor Ranbir Kapoor along with his parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh hopped at the event. Also present was the singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan , who along with the Kapoor trio made the Americans dance to the Indian beats. Luring the audiences around the world with his charm, the heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor lighten up the festive spark with his chirpy dance moves to the tracks from his famous films along with his latest ' Besharam ', as per the sources.

The foremost motive of celebrating the festival well in advance, was to focus on inviting the Americans to Maharashtra, India to witness the real piece of extravaganza at the peak of Diwali which seemed well crafted by Maharashtra Tourism board. So what successful in attracting the foreign masses to tour India, the Kapoor trio as well swiftly jobbed an opportunity to promote their upcoming ' Besharam ' overseas too along with sharing the essence of our mother land to the separated yet rooted Indians back there in US.
