' Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ' director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is busy these days with the post production of his film. But the veteran director has already started planning his next project. Rakeysh's next will be named as 'Mirza'. The film is about a contemporary love story which is based on the renowned love story of Sahibaan and Mirza.

Rakeysh is famous for writing the scripts on his own is making an exception for this time. The talented director has entrusted the job to the legendary lyricist, screenwriter and poet Gulzar . Mehra who always wanted to work with Gulzar was waiting for the right opportunity to work with the veteran poet since the age of 22. He had gone to meet Gulzar with a copy of Devdas then and had asked the poet to write a script for it. Mehra expressed that, "He didn't know me and I just walked up to him, kept the book on his table and said, 'I want you to write this film for me.'" He also said that , "now 27 years later, he is actually writing a film for me! It's a dream come true for me."

Mehra had got the idea of the screen adaptation of Mirza - Sahibaan during the making of his last film, ' Delhi 6 '. The film will go on floors soon.
