Veteran filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra who is currently busy with his biopic ' Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ' seems to be looking forward for another venture. The director is reported to have contacted the officials of famous Marathi film 'Zapatlela 2'. The buzz is that Rakeysh has contacted the Marathi filmmakers for the official Hindi remake rights of 'Zapatlela 2'.

Famous Marathi producer and director Mahesh Kothare revealed this fact. He said that he got very delighted to know that the ace Bollywood director got very thrilled after watching the promo of his Marathi horror flick. So, Rakeysh wants to acquire the official rights of the film to remake it in Hindi.

The super hit Marathi horror flick 'Zapatlela' was dubbed in Hindi and released in 1993. So there was a buzz that the filmmakers will do the same for its Marathi sequel as well. But, the fact is that the film will be released only in Marathi language.

So, when Kothare was asked about giving the remake rights to Mehra, he answered that currently his only focus is to release the film. He revealed that he will decide about it after the film gets released. If the film does well, he will think about dubbing it in Hindi as well. However, the director did not rule out the possibility of giving the remake rights to Mehra. He said that his decision will depend upon the response of the audience to his film.

When asked about 'Zapatlela 3', Kothare said that if 'Zapatlela 2' does well at the box office, he might think of making 'Zapatlela 3' in future.
