Krrish is one of the most commercially and critically successful film franchises in India. The franchise which began with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003 saw the emergence of Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). All the tree films of the film series have been immensely successful and now filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is planning its next installment Krrish 4 with son Hrithik Roshan who played the lead in all parts.

Today, Rakesh Roshan completed 50 glorious years in Bollywood. On the happy occasion, when he was asked about Krrish 4 , the filmmaker told a daily that he is scripting the fourth installment of the successful superhero franchise and promised that this one will boast of world-class VFX and technology. "In terms of technology, we will make sure Krrish 4 is a breakthrough sci-fi film. Once we have a story in place, we will reach out to the best stunt directors and VFX teams to make it a world-class film."

The director, who has directed some of the biggest blockbusters of Bollywood like Karan Arjun and Kaho Na Pyaar Hai , says that only technology cannot make a film work; narrative should be imbued with emotions. "It’s not like a Hollywood superhero film which wows with technology alone. Krrish is a mystical, magical figure, whose power people should believe in. I am looking for the emotional hook to pivot the narrative. People are always in such a hurry to make their films. What’s the rush?"

Krrish 4 is expected to mount floors once the script is ready.
