In 2013, Rajkummar Rao and Sushant Singh Rajput collaborated for the first time for Abhishek Kapoor ’s Kai Po Che and it became critically and commercially a successful film. The two were also seen in last year’s film Raabta but Rao had a cameo in it. And now, it is reported that director Nitesh Tiwari of the Dangal fame wants to cast these two brilliant actors for his next movie which is said to explore the bond shared by two friends. The report also suggests that Sushant has already given his nod for the film while Rao is yet to confirm and is still trying to work out the dates for the same.

“Nitesh’s film is a two-hero project. It’s a college drama with a social message. It’s a celebration of life, love and about embracing success and failure. Nitesh is keen on signing Raj. Both of them have had a few meetings where they have discussed the project. They admire each other’s work and the actor has also liked the script, however, he is yet to sign on the dotted line," the report quotes a source saying.

Well, these are some of the few actors who have risen to fame overnight. Though they faced more or less equal struggle, last two years changed their careers. Where Sushant has three big movies, Kedarnath , Sonchiriya , and Drive , Rao, on the other hand, has a total of 9 big films this year. Some of his major projects of 2018 are, Stree , Omerta , Fanne Khan , Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga and Mental Hai Kya .

Looking at their filmography of 2018, we think even if the two actors sign the Tiwari film, it will come out only in 2019.
