Talented actor R Madhavan has worked with movie maven Mani Ratnam on three Tamil films before, namely Alaipayuthey, Kannathil Muthamittal and Aayutha Ezhuthu. All were box office hits. And if the latest buzz is anything to go by, he might join forces with him for the fourth time. According to a source close to the director, Maddy is in talks with Ratnam for a movie. The source was quoted recently by a news agency, “Mani sir is in talks with a few actors and this includes Madhavan. But he hasn't signed anyone yet and the process will take a few more weeks.”

If we take a look at the recent filmography of Mani Ratnam , he has made only romantic films. But the source reveals that Ratnam’s next offering will not be a romantic film. “He is exploring a different genre and it won't be another romantic flick this time. Also, the film might feature two male protagonists.”

If things fall into place and the deal is locked, the project will be announced soon and the film may go to sets in the month of September this year.
