    Quiz-maestro Siddhartha Basu to act in 'Bombay Velvet'

    Siddhartha Basu will be essaying a role in \'Bombay Velvet\'. Prior to this, he arrived with successful TV shows like \'Kaun Banega Crorepati and \'Dus Ka Dum\'.

    Siddhartha Basu is not a new name in the industry. This quiz-maestro became a renowned personality when he first landed on the television screens as a host on a quiz show called 'Quiz Time' aired on Doordarshan. Moving on, further Basu turned to be a producer with introducing his own production house 'Big Synergy Media Ltd'. The production house came out with super successful shows like 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' and 'Dus Ka Dum' which also reported the highest TRP ratings at that time.

    However, now Basu is proving to be a jack of all trades by marking his success as a host, producer and now he is willing to continue this spree with acting. Siddhartha will be seen essaying a role in Anurag Kashyap 's forthcoming periodic saga ' Bombay Velvet ' starring Ranbir Kapoor in lead. Basu has reportedly stated to be very excited about his role in this intriguing and passionate flick.

    Siddhartha will also be seen in the upcoming John Abraham , Nargis Fakhri starer ' Madras Cafe ' which is scheduled to release on August 23.
