The stunning Bollywood beauties Priyanka Chopra and Freida Pinto are the brand ambassadors of the initiative for the girl child. The actresses will produce a film titled 'Girl Rising - Woh Padhegi, Woh Udegi' in which many celebs will feature. The film will feature Madhuri Dixit Nene , Kareena Kapoor Khan , Sushmita Sen , Parineeti Chopra , Nandita Das as well as Priyanka Chopra and Freida Pinto .

The narration part will be done by Amitabh Bachchan . On August 29, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the film's Hindi version will be aired on Star Plus at 1.30 p.m. The movie is collaboration between Star TV and government's campaign 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao'. The movie will be unleashed in Hindi and English language on digital platforms, reportedly.

Priyanka talked about this film by saying that "Woh Padhegi, Woh Udegi....it's what I've truly believed in and it's a motto shared by everyone of the amazing women who have joined me on this journey for Girl Rising. We've all come together to narrate real life stories that highlight the amazing, positive impact that education can have on young girls. We believe that storytelling is a powerful way to inspire people and also to empower them to take action."

Freida Pinto stated that "There couldn't be a more appropriate day to bring to every Indian a movement that is so crucial in changing the way we perceive the role of girls and raise our boys in our country. As a producer of Girl Rising India, I was very honoured to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in June to talk about Girl Rising and he not only embraced the idea but also suggested that we launch it on Raksha Bandhan."

In English the film has released in the year 2013. The movie narrates tales of eight resilient girls from various nations who fight with the situation for achieving their dreams.
