    Prakash Raj to play Teja in 'Zanjeer' remake

    The ace actor Prakash Raj is going to play Teja in the remake of \'Zanjeer\' and Mahi Gill will be seen playing Mona Darling.

    The megastar Amitabh Bachchan started experiencing the sense of super-stardom from his 1973 grand release ' Zanjeer '. His character Vijay from this film received immense praise from the masses. Now, the film will be re-appearing on the silver screen in its new avatar with the same title as earlier. Ram Charan Teja will be seen essaying male lead, while the female lead will be played by Priyanka Chopra in the upcoming film ' Zanjeer '.

    As per the latest news, Prakash Raj will be rendering the character of Teja played by Ajit , while Mahi Gill will play the role of Mona Darling, essayed by the actress Bindu in its predecessor around before forty years. Teja was seen as a bad man with a soft heart and Mona used to dance for him in an intriguing item number.

    In the earlier version of the film, Mona continues teasing Teja about his growing old age. The action-thriller ' Zanjeer ' directed by Apoorva Lakhia will be releasing on 6th September, 2013.
