The ace ad-filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar wants to direct his first Bollywood movie but casting for the leading lady seems to be the biggest problem for him. Earlier it was believed that Kakkar wanted to cast Aishwarya Rai opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the rom-com, but now what comes as a shocker is the fact that the filmmaker has dropped the leading lady, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan from the movie. A close source related to the film informed, “She is no more a part of the film. The character is of a 21-year-old girl who reaches till the age of 29 in the film. She’ll also be seen pregnant with twins and Aishwarya doesn’t look like 21 anymore.”

The makers then went to Priyanka Chopra for the same role, but due to her busy schedule and her ongoing shooting for the ABC’s ‘Quantico’, PeeCee rejected the movie. Interestingly, this is not the first time that the former beauty queen has rejected a movie opposite Abhishek Bachchan . If the sources are to be believed, Priyanka was also offered a role in Sahir Ludhiyanvi’s biopic but the actress turned down that too because of her tight schedule. In the past, Prahlad Kakkar ’s film was shelved due to differences between him and Aishwarya when the former commented on her weight gain.

Revolving around an extra-marital affair, ‘Happy Anniversary’ is a comedy film that reportedly also stars Sushant Singh Rajput .
