Producer Rhea Kapoor ’s Veere Di Wedding is in the limelight ever since its official announcement. There is a certain curiosity amongst the cine lovers for the film as it is touted to be a fun chick flick. The film schedule had been pushed ahead as Kareena Kapoor Khan , one of the lead stars was expecting her first child. Now that baby Taimur is born and the actress has successfully been shedding her extra kilos, the film team has started their prep and reading sessions.

Recently, at producer Rhea Kapoor ’s suburban office all the girls including Sonam Kapoor , Kareena, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania met to began their reading sessions. Coffee and some delicious snacks got involved too! As per the early reports, the film revolves around a wedding and an amazing road trip. The movie goes on floors in September with their first official schedule.

In a media statement, Kareena said, "There has never been a story of women, about four girls. It's not about four sisters. It's the story of four friends. It's about wedding. It's about my wedding in the film and my friends. It's an original film. It's an emotional bond between friends. It’s young and fresh. I have been talking about Veere Di Wedding since nine months as I have genuinely liked the film and I am quite excited to start it."

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh, the film is presented by Anil Kapoor Film Company, Balaji Motion Pictures Ltd. The movie has been scheduled to release next year.
