When Sajid Khan had announced that his next film will be ' Himmatwala ' starring Ajay Devgn , people were curious to know who would be playing the leading lady. Sajid said that the movie will be a remake of the original 1983 film, which starred Jeetendra and Sri Devika . So the inquisitiveness grew regarding the female lead because she would have to match the abilities of the talented actress Sri Devika .

Vashu Bhagnani and UTV, the producers of the film had not revealed as to who would be the leading lady. But recently at the song recording of '' Himmatwala ', Sajid Khan revealed that he would launch a fresh face opposite Ajay Devgn .

Sajid Khan was quoted saying, 'Someone new and someone very exciting will be launched for the whole world to see. We'll be introducing her next month. And I promise she will be the next big thing of the year 2013'.
