It seems that after making several biopics on sports personalities, Bollywood is now shifting its focus towards politicians. It is learnt that a biopic based on the life of the late politician and Shiv Sena party founder, Bal Thackeray is in the making. And if all goes well, versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui will play the titular role in the film. The film is currently at the scripting stage and its production will start once the final draft is ready.

It is believed that the party members of Shiv Sena dislike Muslims, but now a Muslim actor is going to play his party founder in a film. When Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut, who is writing the script for the biopic, was asked about the same, he said that his biopic will answer all these questions. Reportedly, the first look of the film is going to be out on 21st December.

The audience has already seen films inspired by Bal Thackeray’s life. Well-known filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has made a three-film series, Sarkar, taking inspiration of some incidents from the veteran politician’s life.
