The much-talked about ambitious project of the talented filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker , ' Mohenjo Daro ' has arrived with a news update. The mega project ' Mohenjo Daro ' will hit the screens on January 22, 2016, prior to Republic Day 2016, reportedly.

UTV Motion Pictures , the co-producer of the film, announced the release date of the film on Twitter by mentioning that " Mohenjo Daro starring Hrithik Roshan and introducing Pooja Hegde to release on 22nd Jan 2016 @aggpl_tweets,"

The Oscar-nominated and Emmy Award-winning international costume designer April Ferry has roped in by Gowariker for this project. Ferry will come up with the creative concepts for this flick. The film is about the love tale set during the Indus Valley civilization. It's expected to hit the floors in October this year and the first schedule of the flick is likely to be shot in South Africa.
