    Many of us didn't know that the dusky beauty Rani Mukherjee was the first choice to step in the shoes of the famous Olympic medal winning boxer, Mary Kom. Rani could not star in the film over some uncertainty and Priyanka Chopra bagged the role.

    In the meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra visited Mary Kom in her hometown Imphal. Priyanka intended to achieve information about Mary Kom's life during this visit. Mary Kom not only provided her with proper details but also offered some useful tips to the actress. The star boxer expressed her happiness that Priyanka Chopra would be playing her character in the film. Mary Kom was delighted to see enthusiasm of Priyanka about knowing her life details and this made the sportsperson to think that Priyanka is perfect for this role.

    Priyanka revealed her pleasant experience in Imphal through Twitter.
