    Manisha Koirala will play the late actress Nargis' part in Sanjay Dutt's biopic.

    With Sanjay Dutt ’s biopic gearing to go on the floor, here we bring the recent development in the film. Veteran actress Manisha Koirala has been signed to essay Ranbir Kapoor ’s mother in the film.

    Director Rajkumar Hirani has confirmed the news stating Manisha will portray Sanjay’s mother Nargis 's character in the biopic. The reason he chose her over other actresses is that she herself is the survivor of Cancer and can identify with Nargis’s fight against the disease.

    Hirani has hired an exciting star cast with Ranbir playing Sanjay's role. And, as per the recent updates, Dia Mirza will be seen as his wife Manyatta, Sonam Kapoor as his former girlfriend and Paresh Rawal as his father Sunil Dutt.
